America's greatest problem
America's greatest problem is not the lobby money controlling Congress and the President. It is not the media or educational system. It’s not healthcare or school shootings or human trafficking or obesity or global warming.
Our greatest problem is wilful ignorance.
People do not want to spend any energy learning anything unless it benefits them personally and financially.
Americans do not know the difference between Persian and Arab, Sunni and Shiite. They know nothing about Islam or other countries. Some can't even name 3 countries. It's not like they have knowledge about their own nation either. Most Americans couldn't Name 5 native American tribes or fill in a map of the 50 states. They can't name 3 rivers or mountain ranges or world leaders. They don't know what a tariff is or OPEC. They make fun of evolution and get their history from TV and movies and their science from Sunday school.
Mike Huckabee doesn't believe in dinosaurs and thinks the Earth is 6,000 years old. Pete Hegseth acts like we're in a holy war and trying to bring on Armageddon.
How does this happen? Wilful ignorance.
